Is your piece a vector, vexel or mixed media?First of all; don't create art to make it go in a certain category - if you feel the need to reach outside the rules, do so - but please don't try to sneak it in. This is a group for vector and vexels, if your piece isn't one, we won't upload it to the gallery - it isn't because your piece isn't "worthy" or "good enough" or because we want to punish you

Some of you might have gotten a message on your submissions where one of us asks you to explain a certain part of your piece or what program(s) you used. We hope to stop doing that - we would rather be able to accept all the submissions and count on you guys to know what your piece is.
So here it is - the steps to figuring out where your piece goes (in our gallery, but also when you upload it to dA and need to choose a category)
What program did you use?
If you are using a program capable of making vector-layers and resizing these infinit, your work is a vector so far. If you merge the vector-layers (or sIs your piece a vector, vexel or mixed media? by #vector-artists

The New Vexel Definition1. Vexels- what are they?
Vexels are layered raster shapes of solid colour or gradients/ solid shapes/ raster shapes with look of vector.
The word 'vexel' is a mix of words 'vector' and 'pixel'.
2. The difference between vexels and vectors
The most important difference is that vexels are created using raster layers while vectors are created using vector layers.
Rasters are based on pixels (little squares) and each square is given a fixed colour. When you expand it you can see pixelation.
Shapes created using vector layers while expanding stay crisp and don't lose their quality.
Let me explain the difference on this example.

The image above is a vector. When expanding it to 300% it will still stay sharp:

If the same image was created on raster layers it would look blurry after expanding to 300%:

iPad or Android? Which one do you like?

I will give my opinion on this Question, and i would like to see other people's comments also

personally, I dislike Apple Products. Especially iphone and ipad.
People are really stupid, when they believe apple's gadgets are the Best.
Their products are overestimated.

Actually, in reality what they are buying is the apple "BRAND" and they buy it very expensive.
People who like to show-off themselves, "Apple" is "good" for them.
But Did you knew the fact that the Founder (Steve Jobs) of ipad/iphone, never accepted to integrate "Flash" inside his devices?

=> As we all know, "Flash" is very necessary for many Websites or even most Softwares to work properly. So devices with no Flash have limited possibilities.

I have made a comparison Test with my cousins ipad and Samsung Galaxy together, to see if some online Picture Editors works properly.
More specificaly, one of them i have tested is the (Pixlr editor), which is my top Favorite Online photo editor and it's free! i highly suggest it!
And you can guess what the results was...
iPad, COULDN'T load this program at all. Because of the lack of Flash.
(Just go try it and you will see for your self what i mean).

Also, except from all of those disadvantages that apple devices have,
there is one more, which is very important.
*YOU MUST TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING.*

-> Andoid apps, almost All are Free! and they have Flash of course and are supported by Google!

Anyway, What is your opinion?
